Mr.AK Tareen attends the 4th GCC INDIA Industrial Meet in Jeddah

Mr.AK Tareen attended the 4th GCC India Industrial Meet 2015 in Jeddah on 18-19 November 2015 as part of the official Indian business delegation led by CII. This is an annual event organised by the Governments of India as well as the members of GCC – Oman, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Commerce and Industry Mr.Tawfiq Al-Rabiah inaugurated the meet with a strong emphasis on the potential to grow the bilateral trade and investment relations. The Indian side was represented amongst others by Ms.Ravneet Kaur , Joint Secretary in the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Mr.J.B.Mohapatra, Joint secretary & Financial advisor, Ministry of New and Renewable energy, and Ms.Shobana Kamineni, Vice President of CII.

Mr.Tareen interacted with several business persons from the Gulf who are keen to explore trade and investment opportunities with India. They understand and appreciate India as a growing market for their products and services; but seem to be a bit wary of the complexity of the market.
